Gran Fondo a Huge Success!
The Desert Springs Gila Monster Gran Fondo was held this past Saturday on October 14th, 2017, with cyclists riding 115, 78, and 40 mile courses and was a huge success! Rider participation was up over 40% this year over last year. Cyclists in the 115 mile ride covered the iconic Gila Monster route that is the same as the last day’s ride of the spring Tour of the Gila. There was an amazing group of riders who came to participate in this year’s fun ride Gran Fondo event. Joining the field of riders from Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Texas, Colorado, and California, there were participants from as far away as Washington state, Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, Illinois, and even a rider from Germany.
