Fort Bayard Medical Center is holding a career day today, August 27th, from 9 am to 3 pm. There are various openings in healthcare, dietary and housekeeping, as well as a medical director. Fort Bayard Medical Center is working with part-time schedules and also willing to work around student schedules.
Fort Bayard Medical Center was established in 1866, and became a Veteran’s hospital in 1922. It has continued to serve the medical needs of many and is now a certified 200 bed long-term care nursing facility. The move to the new building has occurred in the last five years. The US News and World Report has listed Fort Bayard Medical Center as one of the best nursing homes in 2014. They provide care for people who have a medical need and who can no longer provide for themselves. They also offer a special veteran’s unit as Fort Bayard State Veteran’s Home.
