Do you have a vehicle you no longer need? The American Red Cross can use your old clunker to help people in need.
With the help of Insurance Auto Auctions, the Red Cross will convert unnecessary cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, boats, snowmobiles, jet skis, tractors, farm equipment, and other types of vehicles – in any condition- and sell them. Proceeds from the sales will go to the American Red Cross to shelter, feed, and provide support to disaster victims, along with other Red Cross services.
“People may think their old vehicle is worthless but the donation could be priceless to someone in need of Red Cross services,” said Rahim Balsara, Regional CEO of The American Red Cross in New Mexico. “This program turns clunkers into compassion and care.”
The donation process is simple: contact the American Red Cross online at redcross.org/cardonation, or call 1-855-9ARCCAR (1-855-927-2227) to make arrangements. The Red Cross will schedule a pick-up of your vehicle at at time that is convenient for you and at no cost to you. With the aid of Insurance Auto Auctions, they will sell the vehicle (proceeds benefit the Red Cross), and then you will receive a tax receipt for tax deduction purposes.
