Some exciting news from your local Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 1 here in Grant County. First, we had our annual elections this month, and the newly elected officers picture from left to right: Cliff Tavernier (Sr. Vice Commander), Charles Deming (Treasurer/Adjutant), Manuel Portillo (1st Jr. Vice Commander/Master At Arms), Reggie Price (District Commander), and Bryant Jamison (Commander). Your DAV will be having a Mother’s Day Steak Dinner May 10, 2014 at the VFW post in Arenas Valley. Tickets are out and about so pick up at least ten or so to help support the DAV and the much needed services it provides to our Veterans. Phone orders can be placed the day of the event at 575-388-5214, or course walk-ins are welcome. Be sure to keep a close eye out for upcoming events that the DAV will be hosting, and with your help, we will continue to provide vital services to our Veterans.
