The 4th of July is almost upon us, and we all know what that means: time for the annual Independence Day Parade!  The parade is a great holiday festivity, but don’t forget to plan some time to visit Gough Park after the parade for a day full of entertainment, vendors, and of course: food.

The Kiwanis Club of Silver City will be out at the park again this year with their world famous (or at least locally famous) Cowboy Breakfast and Barbecue lunch at the park.  You can find them under the gazebo, preparing a hot meal with tantalizing scents that waft throughout the area for hours.

But Kiwanis is about more than just getting a good meal while you enjoy the town’s Independence Day activities and all the fun Gough Park has to offer.  Kiwanis is about supporting the youth of the community, and the future of the country.  So while you are in beautiful downtown Silver City celebrating your freedom and enjoying the festivities, make sure you celebrate the local youth as well.

When you buy a meal ticket, you will be contributing to youth programs in our community: such as Terrific Kids, K-Kids, Builders Club, Key Club, CKI, Action Club, and much more.
