Silver Consolidated Schools is partnering with The Commons Center for Food Security and Sustainability for a drive-through food box distribution tomorrow, March 14th. In an effort to meet the needs of as many families as possible , the following guidelines will be in place: there will be 200 boxes available with one box being distributed per vehicle, and it will be on a first come, first serve basis. The distribution of boxes will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Silver Schools Administration Building.

Luna County has announced that Rockhound Road SE, from Country Club Road SE to McCan Road SE, will remain closed through Friday, March 14th, for the placement of culvert pipes. Community members are urged to remain patient with contractor personnel and adhere to all detours and traffic control signage. In the coming weeks, additional culverts will be installed at various parts of the intersection.
