The Disabled American Veterans Fort Bayard Chapter 1 New Mexico held a Veteran’s Day drawing to help raise funds to provide services to all veterans of Grant County with an emphasis on disabled veterans. The winners of the drawing are as follows:
- First place prize of a .308 Mossberg Bolt Action Hunting Rifle was won by Gabriel Ramos
- Second place prize of the $200 Walmart gift card was won by Barney Jarmillo
- Third place prize of a $100 Walmart gift card was won by Jason Moreno
The DAV of Fort Bayard wants to thank everyone for the donations that made the fundraiser a success.
The Santa Clara Neighborhood Watch is now working on their 2nd Annual Coats for Kids campaign. This important community project will kick-off next Monday, November 30th by opening several locations where the public can donate warm outer clothing to local children in need. Donations of children’s coats and sweaters are needed for all sizes, ages groups and gender. Location for drop-off include the Bayard Police Department, Santa Clara City Hall, and NAPA Auto Parts.
PNM is helping New Mexico residential customers, small businesses, and non-profits pay past dur PNM bills due to hardships from the COVID-19 pandemic. PNM has partnered with HELP NEW MEXICO to provide emergency assistance and financial relief during the holiday season. Applications are being accepted online at PNM.com/help or by calling 855-364-2950. Applications must be received no later than December 31st.
