The Collaboration to Help Assure No Child is Exposed to Substances (CHANCES), a non-profit group that helps screen pregnant women to prevent the use of harmful substances, will hold their monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 12th from 12 noon to 1:00 P.M. at Marie’s Italian Grill located at 110 South Silver Avenue in Deming.
The next monthly meeting of the Grant County Beekeepers will be on Wednesday, June 12th at 6:00 pm at the Commons Building located at 501 East 13th Street in Silver City. There will a showing of some short videos and several other topics will be covered.
The Allingham-Golding American Legion Post #18 will be holding a dignified flag disposal ceremony this Friday, June 14th at 7:00 P.M. at their location on 409 West College Street in Silver City. The Village of Columbus will be celebrating their 128th “Founding Day” on Saturday, June 15th from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. There will be a parade, entertainment, arts & crafts and food vendors. An official “ribbon cutting” begins at 10:30 A.M. at the Gazebo.

Grant County 4-H is presenting a “4-H Contest Practice-Fest” on Monday, June 17th from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Grant County Extension Office located at 2610 North Silver Street in Silver City.
