The New Mexico Department of Health is hosting flu shot clinics in Silver City at their public health office located at 2610 North Silver Street. The clinic is scheduled for November 3rd. Silver City Watershed Keepers have organized a trash cleanup in the upper watershed on November 7th from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. Volunteers will meet at the Jose Barrios Elementary School parking lot and caravan to the site on Bear Mountain Road. Trash bags, gloves, and trash pickers will be provided. Face masks are required. The High Desert Humane Society is holding their monthly reduce rate rabies drive-thru only vaccination clinic on Saturday, November 14th from 9:00 A.M. to 12 noon at the humane society building located at 3050 Cougar Way in Silver City. The 30th annual Lighted Christmas Parade in downtown Silver City has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and safety concerns associated with the event.
