Everyone is invited to join the community hike scheduled for March 8th from 1 to 2 pm on the Dragonfly Trail. Mr. Bob Schiowitz will give an interpretive talk regarding the petroglyphs near the trail.  Call 538-8273

The Food Co-op’s March Community Forum is a class on the New Mexico Organic Farming Conference Round-up on March 10th and 12th from noon to 1 at 614 North Bullard Street.  Community Forums are free and open to the public.  Call 388-2343

The NMDOT will have a public involvement meeting for the NM90/Hudson Street Bridge Project on March 11th from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Grant County Convention Center.  The NMDOT will provide detailed information regarding the project and answer questions.  Call 525-7340

Representatives from the Veterans Choice Card will be at the American Legion Post 18 on March 12th from 9 to noon.  Representatives will have a meeting regarding the Card, and all the rules and regulations.  A Q&A session will follow the meeting

There will be a Town Hall Meeting on April 14th at 2 pm at the American Legion Post in Silver City.  The Director of the Fort Bliss and Fort Bayard National Cemeteries will be there to discuss the present situation and future plans for the Fort Bayard National Cemetery.  Call 956-5153

The Western Institute for Lifelong Learning is pleased to announce a free community presentation at the WNMU Global Resource Center on April 24th at 5 pm.  Retired Senator Jeff Bingaman will speak on Meeting the World’s Climate Challenges.  Tickets are free, but required for attendance, so call 538-6835

For our Deming listeners, the Marshall Memorial Library will host master gardener Alberta Morgan on June 6th from 9:30 to 11 am.  Alberta will talk about home vegetable gardening.  Call 546-9202
