The 2017 Grant County Fair will be taking place this Wednesday, September 20th through Sunday, September 24th, in Cliff, New Mexico.  The Fair will feature a pig show, gilt show, sheep show, heifer show, and steer show, including the Grant County Farm Bureau Pancake Breakfast Friday morning. The 2nd Annual Baking Contest will take place during the fair on Saturday from 11:00 to noon followed by The Junior Livestock Sale at 3pm. There will be Junior Rodeos Wednesday and Saturday, H Bar Y Ranch Rodeo and Snedeker Enterprises LLC and Nunn’s Frontier Rodeo Company Rough Stock. In addition to Open Ranch Bronc Riding, Team Roping, and Cowboy Horse Race on Saturday, there will be music and dancing on the slab featuring the Yarbrough Band, a Tractor show, Exhibits, Judging, and all the excitement of the County Fair.  Fair Admission is $4.00 per day, with the Ranch Rodeo on Thursday night at $5.00 per person and Regular Rodeo admission at $8.00 per night on Friday and Saturday. There is free admission for children under 6 years of age. Advance tickets for the carnival are $18.00 and can be purchased at Circle Heart in Silver City and Chuck’s Gas Station in Cliff.
