Silver City’s Tour of the Gila, powered by SRAM, “Gila Monster Road Race” concludes the race week Sunday with a grueling 105.7 mile race with over 9100 feet of climbing and more than 8200 feet of descent. Race starts at Golf Park in Silver City and ends in P.A. near the museum. Start time is at 7:30 am for the “Men 3,” followed by other categories, ending with the last category to begin, being the “Women Pro One Two” at 9am. This race is expected to end before 2 pm near the museum in P.A., where spectators are invited to watch. This race will cause the closure of NM 15 from 9 am to 1:30 pm from the “Y” in P.A. to the intersection of NM 15 and NM 35. Everyone is encouraged to plan accordingly if they need to travel in the area. This closure will not affect businesses in P.A.
