At the time of compiling this report, the New Mexico Department of Health, announced a total of 49,240 New Mexico COVID-19 confirmed positive cases statewide. In addition, COVID-19 cases recorded locally are as follows: Grant County increased to 215 total cases with 73 recovered; Luna County has risen to 1,215 total cases with 286 recovered; Hidalgo County has remained at 127 total cases with 86 recovered; and Catron County remains 10 total cases with 6 recovered. Yesterday the NMDOH reported ten additional COVID-19 related deaths and 877 new cases statewide. New Mexico state health officials announced yesterday that 1,141 additional COVID-19 cases were reported.

The New Mexico Secretary of State has released unofficial results for the November 3rd General Election. In local races, the results are as follows: Alicia Edwards wins for Grant County Commission District 3; Billy Billings wins for Grant County Commission District 4; and Harry Browne wins for Grant County Commission District 5. In addition, Marisa Castrillo, retains her position as Grant County Clerk and Patrick Cohn Jr. was elected to Grant County Treasurer. In other area races, Yvette Herrell won United States Representative District 2; Siah Correa Hemphill won State Senator District 28; Crystal Diamond won State Senator District 35; Candie Sweetser won State Representative District 32; Rebecca Dow was re-elected to State Representative District 38; and Luis Terrazas was elected as State Representative District 39. Regarding District County Judge Sixth Judicial District Division 3, the winner is Jim Foy and in the District Attorney 6th Judicial District the winner is Michael Renteria.
