The New Mexico Secretary of State has prepared a report regarding yesterday’s Regular Election results with all 1,958 precincts statewide fully reporting. A complete report that includes votes cast and percentages for each candidate can be found online at sos.state.nm.us. According to the report, statewide voter turnout was calculated at 19.34%.

The New Mexico Department of Health announced additional 675 COVID-19 cases statewide for Tuesday, November 2nd. Locally the new cases are as follows: Grant County with 14 new cases; Hidalgo County with 1 new case, Luna County with 11 new cases; and Catron County with 2 new reported cases. As of yesterday, there are 382 individuals hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19. This number may include individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 out of state but are currently hospitalized in New Mexico.

Keep Luna County Beautiful is hosting a “Community Litter Clean-Up Event this Saturday, November 6th from 8:00 A.M. to 12 noon at the Courthouse Park Pavilion in Deming. Local organizations are encouraged to participate and can earn money for their cause by signing up. The Keep Luna Beautiful program is funded by state grants and Luna County, dedicated to working with the community for over 11 years. Their mission statement is to “engage individuals to take greater responsibility for the improvement of their community environment.” Area clean-up assignments will be issued on Saturday at the event.
