Big Ditch Park in Silver City has recently benefited from the dedicated efforts of NM Clean and Beautiful youth interns from the Gila Resources Information Project (GRIP). In collaboration with the Town of Silver City, the interns have been actively involved in slope stabilization, the planting of native trees, graffiti removal, and overall beautification of the park. As part of their ongoing work, six interns spent over 12 hours last month collecting more than 150 pounds of trash along the park, from Lion’s Park to the Broadway Bridge—demonstrating a strong commitment to maintaining this valued downtown green space.
