The Deming Luna County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting “Lemonade Day” this Saturday, May 13th. Lemonade Day is a free, fun, experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business. Congratulations to the Lordsburg High School 400 Relay team who won the State championship this past weekend. Students Jeremy Valdez, Roman Murillo, Adriel Jacquez and Roman Gonzalez ran their best time of the year which earned them first place in the 2023 State Track Meet in Albuquerque. 

The Silver Consolidated School Board will hold its work session and regular session meeting on Monday, May 15th. The meeting will be to discuss the topic of having armed security guards at Silver schools. The work session will take place at 5:00p.m. followed by the regular session meeting at 6:00p.m. in the Little Theater at Silver High School.
