BIG WINNERS AT THE 3rd ANNUAL CLAY POKER TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER

Silver City, NM — July 26, 2015

The 2015 CLAY Festival, a Silver City Arts & Cultural District Signature Event, held its third annual CLAY Poker Tournament Fundraiser last Saturday. Beginning with 34 players, the event kicked off to an exciting start at 3:00 PM with the final hand dealt just after 6:30 PM.

Held in the “Artist’s Lair” of the Old Elk’s Lodge, the room was set with green felt covered tables, a bit of jazz playing for ambience, and five visor-adorned volunteer dealers standing at their posts. Even the smell of pizza wafted in, ready to be served to attendees as fuel for the fun. Spectators added to the energy of the event, applauding well played hands and leaning in close when players pushed their chips tensely forward in anticipation.
