The AARP Safe Driving Class will be held February 25th from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church.  The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members.  Class is open to anyone 55 years and older.  Call 590-0540 to register

The Savvy Caregiver Program 7-week free course offered to educate those caring for people with Alzheimer’s disease begins July 8th.  Classes are held from 10:15 to 12:15 at the Silver City Senior Center.  Call 800-272-3900

The New Mexico Beekeepers Association and the Grant County Extension Service are sponsoring a basic beekeeping workshop on October 24th at the Grant County Extension Office from 10 to noon.  For experienced beekeepers, there will be additional support on the 23rd from 3 to 5.  Call 388-1559
