DESCRIPTION:Catron County is hosting the states very first Wildfire Preparedness Fair. We will have information for home owners on how to prepare for the wildfire season to make their home fire safe. They will have multiple vendors attending to include US Forest Service\, State Forestry\, State Police\, NM State Fire Marshals\, NMFPA\, Catron County Fire\, Local Law Enforcement. The fair is to prepare home owners and citizens in the event of a wildfire. Things that will be discussed Fire prevention\, Preparing a home for wild fire season\, Preparing for evacuation\, and getting familiar with our local agencies. There will be lots of handouts. Participants are asked to follow state COVID-19 guidelines and if  possible to bring a hammer and a piece of rebar or other implement to make a hole in the ground for each flag. In addition\, due to COVID restrictions\, this year there will be no formal ceremony on Memorial Day.
