The 12th Annual Gila River Festival will be held September 22nd through the 25th in Silver City. Events will include presentations and tours on topics including Mangas Springs, the Continental Divide Trail, Floodplain Diversity, and Birding. The Concert Band of the Southwest will kick off it’s seventh season with the “First Concert of the Fall” on Wednesday, September 28th at the Cobre High School Auditorium. The concert begins at 7 pm, doors open at 6:30. Seating is open and free. Call 388-7874
