DESCRIPTION:The Gila National Forest is announcing a Continental Divide Trail Maintenance and Rehab project using volunteers on Saturday\, March 13th from 9:00 A.M. and wrapping up by 12:30 P.M. The project includes brushing and tread work of the CDT Trail. Volunteers are requested to bring safety glasses\, long-sleeved shirt\, pants\, sturdy Footwear\, work gloves\, sunscreen\, water\, and lunch. In addition\, volunteers need to meet at the Pinos Altos Fire Station at 4759 NM Highway 15 at 9:00 A.M. No sign up is necessary. The Forest Service will supply the hand tools and volunteers need to provide their own transportation.

The fair is to prepare home owners and citizens in the event of a wildfire. Things that will be discussed Fire prevention\, Preparing a home for wild fire season\, Preparing for evacuation\, and getting familiar with our local agencies. There will be lots of handouts.
