Silver FFA is having their Annual Hatch Green Chile Sale August 16th through 18th from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. There will be over 10,000 pounds of Sandia Hot and Big Jim Medium Chile will be available at the dirt lot across form the Silver City Walmart. All proceeds to benefit Silver FFA student programs.

Fort Bayard will be celebrating their Birthday Bash on Saturday August 17th, at 6:30 P.M. in the New Deal Theater, featuring Sherry Robinson, speaking on the "Mystery Apaches.” The event is free to the public and sponsored by the New Mexico Humanities Council Speakers Bureau and the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico.
