Volunteers are needed to prepare for Memorial Day by placing flags on all the graves at Fort Bayard National Cemetery on Thursday, May 27th at 8:00 A.M. Participants are asked to follow state COVID-19 guidelines and if possible to bring a hammer and a piece of rebar or other implement to make a hole in the ground for each flag. In addition, due to COVID restrictions, this year there will be no formal ceremony on Memorial Day.
