The Pinos Altos Volunteer Fire Rescue is sponsoring a Stop the Bleed Training as part of National Stop the Bleed Day on Thursday May 23rd. The training is the Bleeding Control Basic Course where you learn the basics of Bleeding Control. The training will be at the PAVFR Cottage San Road Station, 2234 Cottage San Rd. in Silver City. Sessions include a power point introduction and hands on simulated training. There are three sessions planned, starting at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30. Participants can attend any one of the hour long trainings. Stop the Bleed is one of our nation’s largest public health campaigns designed to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. Its goal is to save lives by training people across the country how to stop traumatic bleeding. For additional information, contact Karen at 972-467-0839 or Cyndy at 520-940-3133.
