Grant County, in cooperation with Freeport McMoRan, is hosting a Public Hearing at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 29th in the Grant County Commission Meeting Room located at 1400 Highway 180 East in Silver City to discuss the Tyrone Thompson Road re-route being proposed by Freeport McMoRan. The re-route is part of the mine’s Emma Expansion project and will help prevent traffic delays from mining activity.
