Cowboys for Cancer Research is a group originally organized by the Sunshine Club of QWEST (formerly US West) Pioneers (retired telephone workers.)  Over the past 30 years this group has evolved into a diverse team of dedicated members representing our community.  Funds raised by the Cowboy for Cancer Research events such as a team roping event, dinner/dance, golf tournament, and our community help seed new research studies and equipment that will benefit patients directly by providing promising new treatments.  The team roping event was staged 8 miles north of Las Cruces on the Valley Drive at the Sproul Arena (formally the Calhoun Arena) on Harvey Farms Road, but will move to the Southern New Mexico Fair Grounds for 2014! We have also teamed up with NMSU Aggies Tough Enough To Wear Pink which has rocketed our growth as a non-profit.

The Cowboys for Cancer Roping event will take place this weekend at the Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds in Las Cruces.  Visit http://www.c4cr.com/ to learn more.
