Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument is pleased to announce a return to the tradition of being open every day of the year.  The park will be open all federal holidays this winter, including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. In addition, Veterans Day (November 11th) will be the final fee free day of 2014. Everyone is invited to come out and celebrate our nation’s veterans with free entrance to the Cliff Dwellings.

Guided tour time at the Monument will change to 1 PM effective Sunday November 2nd and will continue at that time until the start of Daylight Savings Time in the spring. Tour time will continue to be 11 AM through November 1st. Self -Guided tours of the Dwellings are of course still available between 9AM and 4PM with Rangers or Volunteers available to answer questions.

The Gila Interagency Visitor Center is open from 8 AM until 4:30 PM daily, with information, bookshop, museum and the park movie.

Visitors coming from the north should know that NM Highway 152 is closed until further notice because of storm damage and an alternate route should be taken. For those traveling south on Interstate 25 should take NM 26 from Hatch to Deming and then US 180 north towards Silver City.
