Round-up the family and head out to the “Discover Hidalgo County” sixth annual FREE event on Saturday, October 17th, at the Hidalgo County Fairgrounds, in Lordsburg, from 8 am to 9 pm. Enjoy mud bogs, a Dutch Oven Cook-off, magic show, plus music all day by Mr. B’s DJ and a Classic Car Show beginning at 10 am, complete with trophies and drawings for prizes. New this year will be a Fiddling Contest beginning at 1 pm. There will be a special mariachi performance as well as a performance by Flamenco dancers. Plus, FREE Health and Dental Screenings from 11 to 2, a jumping balloon, and food booths. The Golden Oldie Award will be presented at 11 am.
