Come to Penny Park and enjoy a fun-filled morning April 15th at the 4th Annual Kiwanis Club of Silver City’s Free Community Easter Egg Hunt. More than 3000 eggs will be hidden in Penny Park with children divided into age groups. The hunts are scheduled throughout the morning according to age groups. Ages 12 and over will have their hunt at 9 a.m.; ages 10-11 at 9:30; ages 8-9 at 10:00; ages 6-7 at 10:30; ages 4-5 at 11:00; ages 3 and under at 11:30; and special needs youth at noon. Children are asked to register for their hunts 30 minutes prior to hunt time. Free registration is required.  While supplies last, some of the younger participants will receive a free Easter basket.  There will be free face painting and Diana Ingalls Leyba will have a table for the opportunity to make a clay raindrop for a new Silver City mural for children 0-5 years of age, Imagination Library will be registering children for their free book a month.  With the Easter Bunny, there will pictures taken and printed by Kiwanis for a small donation of $5 to help with Kiwanis children’s projects.  Special thanks for helping to make the Silver City Kiwanis Club Easter Egg Hunt a success is given to Ace Hardware and Walmart. Thanks to Scout Pack 114 for filling the eggs and The Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest for volunteering their help.
