The New Mexico Department of Transportation has closed NM 152 east of Silver City due to erosion on the roadway.  The road is currently closed from mile marker 16 to 42, just past the San Lorenzo Bridge.  NM 159 in Mogollon remains closed from mile marker 10 to 25 due to erosion and large debris along the roadway.

Update July 9th, 2013, 3:30 pm

The NMDOT has reopened NM 152 from mile marker 16 to 42, which had been closed due to erosion from flooding.  Motorists are advised to be careful in this area.  High clearance vehicles are recommended.  NM 159 in Mogollon remains closed.  Department of Transportation and local officials continue to work to clear the debris in this area.  Motorists are asked to avoid closed areas and follow all road signs and detours.
