On January 2nd, a rescued dog at the Puppy Dog Ranch was killed by a gun, and was the third dog to die in such a fashion on the Ranch.  To protect the dogs from human predators, the Puppy Dog Ranch has spent the past weekends installing a wooden privacy fence around the five acre sanctuary.  Last weekend was the second where volunteers and supporters from around the community were able to go out and help erect the fence.  An online fundraiser to help cover the costs of the fence, motion-sensitive lights and cameras has been set up at http://www.youcaring.com/PreventMoreMurders

Puppy Dog Ranch is in need of volunteers for this, their third, weekend to continue with the project.  Lunch is provided for all volunteers.  This weekend they will be working from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday and 10 to 2 pm on Sunday.  Volunteers are encouraged to dress appropriately and bring any useful cordless power tools or fence post diggers.  For more information, call 313-7232.
