- Western New Mexico University will be hosting a “Lowriders, Hoppers and Hot Rods” competition held on Sunday, September 17 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Juan Chacon Parking lot on the WNMU campus. This free event will feature vintage automobiles in competition to win trophies in several categories. The exhibit, funded in part by the New Mexico History Museum, will feature photos chronicling the beauty of these classic cars spanning several decades.
