- The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, in addition to other congregations are hosting a “Festival of Pets”, in commemoration the life of St Francis of on Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Penny Park in Silver City. The High Desert Animal Shelter, local feed stores, and veterinarians, have been invited as well as the Brewer Baptist Church group that will be serving barbeque. Plan to bring your leashed or carrier contained pets at 10:00 a.m. for the blessing.
