Hidalgo Medical Services launched its new web site this week.  The site allows visitors to learn more about available HMS services, providers, and service locations.  A current list of general and licensed provider employment opportunities is also available on the site.  To visit the new HMS web site, visit www.hmsnm.org.

The USDA Forest Service Southwestern Region announces an information meeting for vendors interested in providing resources to support wildfires and other emergency incidents.  The first meeting will focus on Tents, Fuel Tenders, and Mechanic with Service Truck resources, and is scheduled for Tuesday, January 17th from 1 to 4 pm via video teleconference at Forest Service offices throughout New Mexico.  The second meeting to be held on Tuesday, January 24th from 1 to 4 pm will focus on heavy equipment resources.  For more information visit: http://www.fs.fed.us/business/incident/vipr.php.

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. announced today that it has completed the previously announced sale of its Deepwater Gulf of Mexico properties to Anadarko Petroleum Corporation for $2.0 billion in cash, before closing adjustments. In connection with this transaction, Freeport McMoRan also settled a preferred stock obligation with its consolidated subsidiary, Plains Offshore Operations Inc., for $582 million.
